More than 1000 people attended a symposium on the book of Daniel, held on the campus of Universidad Peruana Union near Lima, Peru, October 10 and 11, 2009. Main speakers were Merling Alomia, former president of the university, and Gerhard Pfandl, associate director of the Biblical Research Institute of the General Conference.

Bible Symposium in Poland

Dr. J. Moskala (Andrews University) and Dr. E. Mueller (BRI) were invited to be the lecturers for a Bible Symposium organized by the Polish Union for all their pastors and elders. The theological part of the meetings took place at the Polish Senior College of Theology and Humanities near Warsaw from September 21stto the 23rd. The lectures were dealing with the doctrine of the Godhead and the Book of Revelation. The meetings were not only well-attended by the target audience but also by the leaders of the Polish Union and the local Conferences.

Asia-Pacific Division Bible Land Tour

During the month of March, thirty-five Seventh-day Adventists from the Asia-Pacific Division accompanied by Gerhard Pfandl from the Biblical Research Institute traveled through Jordan and Israel visiting such sites as Petra and Mount Nebo in Jordan and Masada and the Dead Sea in Israel. Summer School – Baraton, Kenya

From July 27 to August 15, 2008, eighty-five pastors and administrators from 10 different countries of the East-Central African Division attended the lectures on “Issues in SDA Theology” by Dr. Gerhard Pfandl, associate director of the Biblical Research Institute. The three-week course, held on the campus of  the University of Eastern Africa, was part of the MA program of the Adventist University of Africa.

South England Conference Camp Meeting
